Pre-1930 Cub Handbooks

1916 HANDBOOK - Written by Baden-Powell and published December 2, 1916.  Designed for ages 9-12.  Elements were taken from Kipling's Jungle Book.

1918-1928 BSA REPRINT - Licensed by  BSA.  "Price 50¢" in left corner.  230 pages, 5" x 7 1/4".

1920 BUTTE MONTANA - An adaptation of the British Handbook by John Whitney, Assistant Scout Executive of Butte, MT.  Sold for 5¢ a copy.  12 pages long.  4" x 6 1/2".

1923 BOY PIONEERS - Written by George Keneipp of the Piedmont Council.  One of the few Cubbing experiments not based on Kipling's Jungle Book.

1924 CUB BOOK - Printed September 1924 by Earle A. Sterling, District Cubmaster, Omaha, NE.  Approved for experimental use by Chief Scout Executive James E. West.

1924-1928 HONOLULU - Written by the Honolulu Council, but authorized for use in other places.  Text refers to BSA but the badges are all British.  27 pages, 4 1/4" x 5 7/8".
