SECOND EDITION (Cover A, 1987-1990)

Edition Notes: Cover A was the first to show a youth member dressed in the Boy Scout uniform option. Also the first to use photography on the cover to further set apart the Webelos books from those for younger boys.  416 pages, 5 1/4” x 8”. Illustrations were photographs and black ink drawings.

Historical Notes: Lowering the age for admittance to Cub Scouting required a new Webelos Scout Book , since not only were younger members having to use it, but they were staying longer.  Webelos went from a one year program to a two-year program, and boys needed more activities to keep things fresh and challenging. Quantities were dropped from the printing code.
